Mercedes-Benz and BMW, through their South Korean units, have disclosed the names of their EV battery suppliers for the first time. In addition, Hyundai, the country’s largest car manufacturer, has listed the battery manufacturers for all its EV models on its local website. Similarly, Kia, another domestic carmaker, has also revealed the battery manufacturers for its seven EV models.
These voluntary measures underscore the car manufacturers’ commitment to transparency and safety. By openly disclosing battery information, EV owners can make informed decisions and have peace of mind regarding their vehicles’ safety.
