Central promotion for Europe of the book “Paths of the Righteous: Stories of Heroism, Humanity and Hope” held in Zagreb

Dragan Primorac is among nine people from all over the world who is included in the book.

Zagreb, May 24, 2022. The Croatian edition of the book “The Paths of the Righteous: Stories of Heroism, Humanity and Hope” by the renowned American political strategist Ari Mittleman was presented in front of more than 200 guests at the Esplanade Hotel in Zagreb, describing nine exceptional people from all continents who through their work have contributed to building bridges of understanding between people. Nine of them raised their voices to protect the endangered, and the book emphasizes their cooperation with Israel and the Jewish people. Among the people whose work is described in the book is a Croatian scientist of international reputation Prof. Dragan Primorac, Honorary President of the Croatian-Israeli Business Club. The book was published by Geefen Publishing House, and the Croatian translation is the first translation of the book from English into another language.

The host of the book promotion event was the Israeli Ambassador to Croatia Ambassador of the State of Israel to the Republic of Croatia H.E. Ilan Mor, President of the Croatian-Israeli Business Club Saša Missoni  and the Chairman of the Board of Školska knjiga Ante Žužul. With the Minister of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia Nina Obuljen Koržinek, the event was attended by numerous MPs led by Marijana Petir, envoy of the President of the Croatian Parliament and leader of the interplanetary friendship group Croatia-Israel, Mark Fleming Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of USA in Croatia, ​​Israeli musician and actor Moti Giladi, accredited Croatian ambassadors, deans, people from the public and political life of Croatia, and many other guests from the academic, scientific and business life of the United States.

The author of the book Ari Mittleman thanked the people he described in the book who, according to him, set out on the path of justice and harmony in the 21st century. “The people described in the book were and are a source of inspiration. I wanted to share Dr. Primorac’s incredible life story that inspired me to inspire others, because his collaboration with Israel, which has resulted in great achievements, should be an example to others” said Mittleman.

Prof.dr. Dragan Primorac thanked the author, the publisher of Školska knjiga and all those who contributed to the book’s appearance. “Today, Croatia and Israel have cooperation that makes me proud. It is the responsibility of all of us to oppose injustice and to fight for the rights of the most vulnerable. This book is a call to cooperate and unite all people of goodwill to make evil of all kinds, including racism, endangering the rights of minorities, anti-Semitism, disappear forever. I am glad that many of my friends and associates from Israel and the USA are with us today and have witnessed friendship with the Republic of Croatia countless times so far.”

The book Paths of the Righteous: Stories of Heroism, Humanity and Hope has garnered much attention in the United States. Senator Joseph Lieberman recently spoke about it: “It is a successful and stimulating read of Ari Mittleman’s book about nine people who set out on the path of justice and harmony in the twenty-first century. In this book, the author shows that anti-Semitism must not be underestimated, that we must believe that people of goodwill can act together and defeat hypocrisy”. Rabbi Steven Weil points out “Ari Mittleman masterfully writes from nine non-Jews who brought light to the Jewish people and humanity as a paradigm of morality. After reading this amazing book, we are inspired, taught and called to see hope and optimism in humanity, knowing that there are moral and courageous people in all walks of life who are ready to rise up against the world to do what is right, fair and just”.
