Nine of them raised their voices to protect the endangered, and the book emphasizes their cooperation with Israel and the Jewish people. Among the people whose work is described in the book is a Croatian scientist of international reputation Prof. Dragan Primorac, Honorary President of the Croatian-Israeli Business Club. The author of the book Ari Mittleman thanked the people he described in the book who, according to him, set out on the path of justice and harmony in the 21st century. “The people described in the book were and are a source of inspiration. I wanted to share Dr. Primorac’s incredible life story that inspired me to inspire others, because his collaboration with Israel, which has resulted in great achievements, should be an example to others” said Mittleman.
Prof.dr. Dragan Primorac thanked the author, the publisher of Školska knjiga and all those who contributed to the book’s appearance. “Today, Croatia and Israel have cooperation that makes me proud. It is the responsibility of all of us to oppose injustice and to fight for the rights of the most vulnerable. This book is a call to cooperate and unite all people of goodwill to make evil of all kinds, including racism, endangering the rights of minorities, anti-Semitism, disappear forever. I am glad that many of my friends and associates from Israel and the USA are with us today and have witnessed friendship with the Republic of Croatia countless times so far.”
The book Paths of the Righteous: Stories of Heroism, Humanity and Hope has garnered much attention in the United States. Senator Joseph Lieberman recently spoke about it: “It is a successful and stimulating read of Ari Mittleman’s book about nine people who set out on the path of justice and harmony in the twenty-first century. In this book, the author shows that anti-Semitism must not be underestimated, that we must believe that people of goodwill can act together and defeat hypocrisy”. Rabbi Steven Weil points out “Ari Mittleman masterfully writes from nine non-Jews who brought light to the Jewish people and humanity as a paradigm of morality. After reading this amazing book, we are inspired, taught and called to see hope and optimism in humanity, knowing that there are moral and courageous people in all walks of life who are ready to rise up against the world to do what is right, fair and just”.
